Surround Receivers
If you want to get a real home cinema feeling into your home, you can hardly do without a surround receiver (also called AV receiver). A surround receiver is the centerpiece of your home cinema system. Multiple sources such as a Blu-ray player, game console, media box, digital TV receiver, etc. are connected to the surround receiver and only 1 cable goes to the TV and/or projector.
How many channels a surround receiver can control varies by model. Most receivers have at least five speaker outputs and one subwoofer output. You can connect speakers to these ports using a speaker cable.
Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, FM/DAB tuner, Spotify Connect or other streaming options are additional functions that you can also find in most surround receivers.
