Dual Gelcore™ Cabinet Technology

At the heart of the Concept 500 is Q Acoustics’ advanced Dual Gelcore™ cabinet construction. The enclosure consists of three individual layers separated by a specially developed, non-setting gel. This material converts unwanted high-frequency cabinet vibrations into heat, dramatically reducing resonance and allowing the drive units to operate with minimal interference from the enclosure. 

The result is a remarkably quiet cabinet that contributes very little character of its own, allowing voices and instruments to emerge with greater purity, focus and natural detail. 

P2P™ Bracing for Exceptional Rigidity

Tall floorstanding loudspeakers can suffer from internal pressure variations and standing waves that introduce unwanted resonances and colouration. The Concept 500 addresses this with specially developed HPE™ (Helmholtz Pressure Equalizer™) technology. 

Internal HPE™ tubes help equalise pressure within the enclosure, reducing the influence of standing waves and allowing the loudspeaker to maintain a cleaner and more transparent frequency response. This contributes to the Concept 500’s controlled bass performance and remarkably natural presentation.
